Sowers Academy was started by Pastor Emmanuel Ameyaw in Medie, Ghana. Medie is a small village in the Greater Accra region. Pastor was passionate about providing children access to an affordable, quality education. What started as a structure with a thatched roof is now a small campus with approximately 340 students from nursery age to ninth grade.
libraries & Stem labs
In 2022, Give Hope Global’s first school library was built, followed by our first STEM lab in 2023. Both initiatives started at schools and medical clinics we serve in the Kwahu Region. Establishing libraries in schools and medical clinics have given hundreds of children access to books already. We get request for new libraries throughout Ghana often. Each year we add one to two new libraries and revisit the others to stock more books. Book drives are held in Charlotte and shipped over. Providing monthly support puts books in the hands of children by helping with the cost of shipping, shelving, and supplies.
In recent years, Ghana has placed emphasis on STEM education. We help to provide schools build STEM labs by providing much needed equipment and supplies to meet education standards. We use an Amazon Wishlist and drives to collect items for STEM labs.
