Give Hope Co-Founder and Chairman Roger Braswell is also Founder and former Chief Executive Officer of Compact Power Equipment Inc. His heart for orphaned children was ignited by his initial visit to the Cambry Children’s Village in January of 2012. Since then he has been to Haiti many times and is determined to improve the odds of living a joyful life for the young people who God places in his path.
Angela Quinn

Director

Angela Braswell Quinn is Co-Founder of Give Hope Global and Founder of Shop Hope Global. She graduated with a degree in Broadcast Journalism from the University of South Carolina. Angela first traveled to Haiti as a journalist after the earthquake in 2010 and that trip changed her life forever. She has lead numerous teams to Haiti and Ghana and serves as Director for Give Hope. Her hope is to see the children we support grow up to serve Christ and to impact positive change in Haiti. Angela has 4 children who have all traveled to Haiti with her.
Dr. Dane Kovach

Dr. Dane Kovach

Dental Director

Dr. Dane Kovach serves as the Dental Director for Give Hope and is a private practice orthodontist. He and his family served in Papua New Guinea with Wycliffe Bible Translators doing dentistry from 2006-2010. He and his wife have 5 adopted children, so being a part of an organization that seeks to glorify God through positively impacting the lives of orphans is a natural fit. Dr. Kovach finds true joy in using his dental skills to improve the oral health and well-being of those he comes in contact with.

Bill Flannery & Lillian Ferdinands

Medical Directors

Dr. Ferdinands and Dr. Flannery both earned medical degrees from New York Medical College. Dr Ferdinands  finished her residency in pediatrics at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital, while Dr Flannery completed a combined pediatric and internal medicine residency at Cincinatti Children’s Hospital and the University of Cincinnati. They have been in practice at  Huntersville Pediatrics and Internal Medicine since moving to North Carolina in 1997. They are the proud parents of 4 children. After serving on multiple medical missions to Haiti and Ghana, they are thrilled to now be the co-medical directors of Give Hope Global.

Construction Projects

Rob graduated with a mechanical engineering degree from West Virginia University and worked for GE Energy and GE Capital for over 20 years. Currently he serves as Director, Business Development for the CIT Group.  Rob first traveled to Cambry in 2012, and he’s led several teams among his numerous return trips. He lives in Charlotte with his wife and daughter.  His oldest son works at Southern Shade Tree after graduating from the University of South Carolina, and his youngest son attends Stanford grad school after graduating from Georgia Tech.

Dr. Will Caldwell

Dr. Will Caldwell

Medical Advisor

Will completed his undergraduate degree at Davidson College and graduated with an MD degree from East Carolina University. He completed his medical training at the University of Maryland Medical Center and the Shock Trauma Center of Baltimore. He is board certified in head and neck surgery, allergy and immunology and sleep medicine. He is a partner at Charlotte Eye Ear Nose and Throat and has served in various leadership positions with Novant Health. Dr Caldwell lives in Charlotte with his wife and twin daughters.

Hayley Cheatwood

Hayley Cheatwood graduated with a Masters of Accounting degree from Southern Utah University. She began volunteering with Give Hope in 2014 and has since gone on three impact team trips to Cambry. She currently resides in Salt Lake City and works as a senior associate for Bridge Investment Group. Hayley also serves as a finance advisor for El Shaddai Ministries International. In her spare time she enjoys spending every minute in her hometown Wasatch range skiing, hiking, and rock climbing.

Michelle Cherikos owns her own photography business, Angel Eye Portraits.  When she connected her photography to mission work, it became a deeper passion for her.  She has served and lead numerous trips to Haiti as well as Ghana. “Photography is a language to inform, educate and move others without the need for a shared spoken language. We would care more about people in other parts of the world if we could have a deeper understanding and connection. I want to help people see through different eyes.”  Michelle is a wife and mother of 3.

Karrie Crocker is a Commercial Real Estate Broker affiliated with Ardor Commercial Advisors and proudly serves clients around the Carolinas. She has been actively involved with Give Hope Global since 2013 and spent three years as the Administrator. Within the organization, Karrie plays a crucial role on the Give Hope board, collaborating closely with corporate sponsors and devising effective fundraising strategies.

Having completed her education at Winthrop University, Karrie embarked on a professional journey primarily centered around corporate marketing in industries such as equipment, pharmaceuticals, and finance. Justin Kelsey is the CEO of VAXA Digital, a digital advertising firm that specializes in creating video advertisements and the related strategy for e-commerce and product brands. As part of the Give Hope board, Justin advises on digital strategy, advertising, and general growth from a digital lens. Previous to this, Justin served a variety of digital strategy roles at Accenture, Bank of America, and Amazon after completing his undergrad in Finance from the University of Florida.

Tree Co. Prior to joining the company in 2005, Scott worked as the Director of Sales for two of the largest plant/tree nurseries in the
country.
Scott graduated from Penn State with a degree in marketing. In his
free time, Scott enjoys spending time with his wife and two children.
Scott is passionate about skiing, hunting, camping and exploring the

Emily graduated with a Masters of Business Administration from Lenoir-Rhyne University.  She first went to Haiti in 2015 to share her love of volleyball with the older girls.  Since then, she has planned and led numerous trips to Haiti.  She took over the role of Impact Trip Coordinator in 2018.  Today, she resides in Fort Mill, SC and works in Human Resources for Southern Shade Tree.

Anna Tartak is a veteran entrepreneur and founder of Ashland Advertising, one of the largest advertising firms in Charlotte. She is also the co-founder of Clutch Coaching, a firm that exists to serve leaders and teams that want to be the best in the world, both personally and professionally. John Watson

Leader Training / Ghana

After 31 years in the corporate world, John took early retirement in 2013 and followed God’s leading to attend seminary in the Charlotte area with the intent of pursuing international missions; specifically—to train pastors in countries that do not have access to biblical education. After graduating with a Masters in Biblical Studies in 2017, God opened several unique paths that allow John to fulfill this goal while also investing in training resources for missions in the United States. Currently he serves as the Minister of Missions at GraceLife Church in Pineville, NC. He founded L3 Ministries in December 2017 to provide the means to fund initiatives that “Produce Leaders Who Reproduce Leaders.” He also serves as the Director of Ghana ministries for Give Hope. He and his wife Cheryl have four children.

Lynsey graduated with a Masters’s Degree in special education from Western Carolina University.  She took her first trip to Haiti in 2017 with Give Hope and immediately fell in love.  She knew she wanted to be involved with education in Haiti.  She has returned many times and conducted professional development for teachers in the southwest region of Haiti.  She also has a decade of education experience in North Carolina.  Lynsey joined the advisory board as the education advisor in 2021.  In addition, she also serves on staff at Give Hope as our sponsorship coordinator focusing on students, connections, and education.  She resides in Denver, North Carolina with two daughters Paisley and Cambry.
